The fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) will be held in Singapore on August 20, with India and Singapore set to review progress in bilateral cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration.
The Indian delegation will include Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada.
During the visit, the ministers will hold discussions with their Singaporean counterparts and are also expected to meet the country’s leadership.
The India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable has become an important institutional mechanism for advancing cooperation in emerging and strategic sectors.
The first ISMR was held in New Delhi in September 2022, followed by the second round in Singapore in August 2024 and the third in New Delhi in August 2025.
Previous discussions have covered areas including:
- Advanced manufacturing
- Digitalisation
- Connectivity
- Healthcare and medicine
- Skills development
- Sustainability
These discussions have contributed to the Roadmap for the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), unveiled during Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s visit to India in September 2025.
The upcoming meeting will provide an opportunity for the two countries to assess progress on initiatives under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and identify additional areas for cooperation.
Technology, manufacturing, digitalisation, sustainability and connectivity are expected to remain important areas of discussion as both countries seek to deepen their economic and strategic relationship.
The engagement also provides a platform for the two governments to coordinate on emerging opportunities and strengthen institutional cooperation.
The fourth India-Singapore Business Roundtable will also take place alongside the ministerial meeting.
The business forum serves as a strategic and advisory platform bringing together leading business representatives from India and Singapore.
Its parallel engagement with the ministerial roundtable is expected to strengthen connections between government priorities and private-sector opportunities.
The fourth ISMR comes as India and Singapore continue to broaden their partnership beyond traditional areas of economic cooperation.
With digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, connectivity and sustainability becoming increasingly important to both economies, the August 20 discussions are expected to help identify practical areas for deeper collaboration.
