Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Champions Women’s Empowerment and Spiritual Heritage in Milestone Events

Date:

KURUKSHETRA – In a series of high-impact events across Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to social welfare, women’s dignity, and spiritual connectivity. From flagging off major pilgrimage initiatives to advocating for historic legislative reforms, the Chief Minister’s recent activities highlight a governance model focused on “Antyodaya”—serving the last person in the queue.

Empowering the “Nari Shakti”: A Vision for 2026

Addressing a large gathering at the Rani Lakshmi Bai Bhawan in Kurukshetra, Chief Minister Saini hailed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a landmark milestone in India’s democratic journey. He emphasized that the bill, which provides for women’s reservation in legislative bodies, is not just a policy change but a fundamental shift in ensuring women have a seat at the decision-making table.

“It was the vision and belief of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that women should be empowered to lead from the front,” the CM stated. He recalled the legacy of iconic figures such as Rani Lakshmibai and Rani Padmavati, noting that their talent and intelligence have always been part of India’s DNA. Saini pointed out that while previous attempts at such legislation were often stalled, the current leadership successfully navigated the complexities to turn this dream into a reality.

The CM also touched upon the upcoming census and delimitation processes, asserting that these are necessary steps to ensure fair representation as envisioned in the Act. He moved a resolution in the Haryana Legislative Assembly in support of the Adhiniyam, signaling the state’s total alignment with the national mission of women-led development.

Bridging Spiritual Centers: The Kurukshetra to Nanded Pilgrimage

Furthering his outreach to the elderly and the spiritually inclined, Chief Minister Saini flagged off a special pilgrimage train from Kurukshetra Railway Station on Tuesday. The train, carrying over 800 pilgrims from nine districts, is headed for Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra.

This journey, organized under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana, connects two of India’s most significant spiritual hubs:

  1. Kurukshetra: The sacred land associated with the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
  2. Sri Hazur Sahib: The holy site linked to the final days of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

“These journeys are designed to inspire our elders and allow them to experience the rich spiritual heritage of our country without financial burden,” Saini remarked while interacting with devotees on the platform. The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) felicitated the CM with a siropa (robe of honor) for his efforts in facilitating this journey of faith.

The CM also looked ahead, announcing that the next phase of the pilgrimage scheme will see a special train depart for Somnath on June 8, 2026, coinciding with the national “Somnath Swabhiman Parv” celebrations.

A Growing National Role: Observer for Assam

Beyond Haryana’s borders, the BJP central leadership has recognized Nayab Singh Saini’s organizational acumen by appointing him as the Central Co-Observer for government formation in Assam. Working alongside Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Saini will oversee the election of the BJP Legislative Party leader in Guwahati following the party’s historic victory in the state.

This appointment underscores Saini’s rising influence within the party and his ability to handle complex political transitions. While in Panchkula, Saini also commented on the BJP’s sweeping success in the West Bengal Assembly elections, stating that the “Lotus has blossomed” due to the blessings of Maa Kali and the trust people have in the Prime Minister’s policies.

Conclusion: A Model of Inclusive Governance

From the platforms of Kurukshetra to the legislative corridors of Chandigarh and the political landscapes of Assam, Nayab Singh Saini’s recent activities paint a picture of an active, multifaceted leadership. By balancing modern legislative reforms with deep-rooted cultural values, the Haryana government continues to set a precedent for holistic development in 2026.

The state’s focus remains clear: empowering the youth and women, honoring the elders, and ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every household in Haryana.
